A self catering accommodation company which has a base in Burnham Market has reported record levels of business.
Norfolk Country Cottages, which is also based in Holt and Reepham, reported their results as the key holiday booking period for most travel and tourism companies draws to a close.
The firm is the county’s longest established and largest independent accommodation company and represents more than 400 holiday homeowners. It provides a fully managed service, and has achieved its best ever booking months in January and February, exceeding targets and revenues for self-catering accommodation.
In particular, bookings for Easter, May half term and school summer holidays have increased significantly, demonstrating that demand for the Great Norfolk getaway remains high. Early summer reservations have also grown, along with growth in last minute bookings.
Commenting on the company’s strong performance, Norfolk Country Cottages’ general manager, Heather McCraith, said: “January and February are typically strong months for bookings, as families decide where they will holiday. However this year has seen an exceptional uplift in early booking, leading us to suspect that customers are looking to the UK as a viable holiday option for the main summer months.
“With holidaymakers booking earlier, many of our owners have already seen great booking levels for the main school holidays, which is a fantastic position for them to be in. In a crowded marketplace, Norfolk Country Cottages’ strong heritage and reliable service mark us out as an excellent provider for both homeowners and holiday makers, and we look forward to working with new clients attracted by our comprehensive, fully-supported holiday lettings service.”
