Two Hunstanton businesswomen are celebrating a successful six months since launching their holiday homes company.
Sandra Hohol and Julie Rushmer, directors of Norfolk Holiday Homes Ltd, held an open day last week inviting customers and business associates to their new premises on the ground floor of 68 Westgate.
Sandra and Julie have worked together in business for many years. In 1980 Sandra joined Cruso and Wilkin with the late Richard Bird in their estate agents. When Cruso and Wilkin closed their Hunstanton office, she went to work with Richard in 1989, just after he started his own estate agents.
Richard died last year and Sandra and Julie decided to leave the Birds Estate Agents umbrella in December last year and start again afresh.
Julie has previously worked in the industry in administration and in France operating canal boat holidays.
Said Sandra: “Being in a prime location in Hunstanton has brought much more interest to our company and we hope that it will continue to thrive. We have already added several new properties to our portfolio, including some unusual ones, and local people and holiday-makers are calling in to make bookings and inquiries.”
Their properties now stretch further afield and include some on the Broads. The company has all its properties individually quality inspected by Visit England and accommodation ranges from cottages to character properties. More properties are always needed, as are beach huts and long lets. The business can be contacted on 01485 534267.
