Lynn’s BNI Vancouver Chapter was delighted with the response to its open day last week when it welcomed more than 20 visitors.

As some of those visitors submitted an application to join, it means the Silver Status that the chapter was on the verge of achieving is on schedule. To become a Silver Status Chapter, a chapter has to have 31 or more members for 3 months.

It is on target to be the only BNI in Lynn to gain this and would be one of only five chapters in Norfolk to do so.

During the meeting visitors got to experience how BNI works and how word-of-mouth referral marketing can help their business grow with £41,662 of invoiced business being passed on during the meeting and another 37 referrals being passed for further new business. The featured member presentation was from Glen Piggott from Castle Rising-based web designers, Sound Wave Marketing.

He said: “There were 23 visitors ranging from individual sole traders and established businesses as well as a national high street retailer.

We were very encouraged by such a positive response. Three visitors signed up to join the chapter there and then and hopefully more will follow on. Visitors are welcome to come along to any of our weekly breakfast meetings. The doors are always open, not just for open days.”

Business owners or directors interested in attending can call 01553 380264 or email visit@bnikingslynn.co.uk to reserve a seat.

The chapter meets every Thursday in the Linnet Lounge at King’s Lynn Town Football Club. In 2015 BNI Vancouver generated £1.28 million of invoiced business for its members.
