Fitness expert Kelly Gibson is continuing to expand the business she set up in Lynn town centre a year ago with the launch of new enterprise.
Kelly, who lost her job last year when Flex Bodyworks closed its site on North Lynn Industrial Estate as a result of a small fire, set up KDC Studios in premises located through the archway next to Subway shop in Norfolk Street.
Here during the past year, she has run dance classes for children and fitness sessions for adults. As she had a spare room available, tattooist Joe Schulz began work there with his business called Last Chance Ink.
In another room spare she decided to set up The Hair and Beauty Studio, where Amy Hillier provides hair treatments and Leva Janulionyte-Krungleviciene and newly-joined Debbie Winsor, who operates under the name Peaches Boutique, offer beauty therapies.
Together they are joining forces for the latest venture called Personalised Parties, which is aimed at children.
Said Kelly: “ We will be able to offer events such as princess parties for girls and pirates’ parties for boys. They’ll have the chance to have all the extras such as having their hair done, perhaps a bit of make-up and maybe glitter tattoos if they want.”
She said she is pleased to see her business expanding and moving forward. She said: “It’s been a lot of hard work and when I originally took it on, I was already six months pregnant with my second child, Kacey-Rose, who was born in April.
“It’s become a great place to work and it’s a hive of activity.”

In her new role at the studios, Debbie will do spray tanning and lash perming and is due to attend courses in gel nails and hair-ups to expand her range of services. She can be contacted on 07704516491.
