King’s Lynn florist celebrates fresh look

On Wednesday, Bridget’s Flowers in Lynn’s St James Street celebrated the completion of a major renovation project by inviting guests to look over the new the interior.

Work on the revamp started two months ago with new flooring, colour scheme and equipment.

Said Megan Nurse, who manages the shop: “We have gone for a vintage style, shabby chic look with soft blues and turquoise.

“We are very excited about the end result. We have a great team who are very enthusiastic and have been very supportive.”

The family-run business, which has been in St James Street for more than 30 years,is owned by Megan’s mother, Bridget, and Megan’s aunt, Debbie Roper is head florist.

Megan’s grandparents, Josie and Ernie Roper carry out deliveries throughout West Norfolk.

The business has plans to set up a monthly workshops which will be led by experienced florist Karin Forman. The first in November will focus on Christmas wreaths and arrangements.

“People will be able to come in and make Christmas wreaths and other floral arrangements,” said Megan. “Depending on its success, it’s something which we would like to continue throughout the year.”
