Lynn’s Morrisons store has reintroduced fresh handmade doughnuts at its Coburg Street store to coincide with National Doughnut Week this week.

The store said it had listened to its customers and was going back to hand mixing, baking and filling its doughnuts every day.

Morrisons predicted that by the end of this week it would sell around 2.7 million doughnuts across its stores.

Dave Pears, Lynn store general manager, said: “There’s something about the warm smell and taste of a freshly baked doughnut that we all love. We are lucky to have a team of craft skilled bakers and cake shop specialists who can make them right here in store. The team will make a wide variety of different flavours.”
