A Lynn-based technology business is now reaching further afield and expanding its services after securing contracts to fit audio-visual equipment in Belgium and Germany.
Core Technology Projects was set up by experienced engineer Jim Garrett just three years ago but has already become so successful that Jim has gone on to employ two full-time members of staff.
The business offers a complete package of design, consultancy and installation of all technology-based projects for homes and businesses. This includes CCTV systems, intruder alarms, automatic gates, intercom systems, networks, audio systems, video distribution, cinema rooms and lighting systems.
Most recently they have set up video conferencing rooms in Belgium for a worldwide research company, allowing the client to deliver training courses from one side of the world to the other and offering huge cost-saving benefits.
Closer to home they have also installed up-to-date remotely-monitored CCTV for a Norfolk and Suffolk-based retail chain, and completed a home technology installation in Sedgeford, including full home audio system, wireless internet connectivity throughout, CCTV and a lighting control system.
As well as continuing to grow the business internationally, Jim is keen to keep expanding locally and works alongside a number of other West Norfolk businesses, including joiners, architects, interior designers and developers. He has also taken on a local apprentice.
Jim prides himself on customer service and said Core Technology Projects has reached its current level of success almost entirely through word of mouth.
He said: “Although we are a relatively young company we are experts in our field and have more than 30 years’ experience between us. We carry out a lot of manufacturer training to keep up with the latest innovation in technology. The standard of our work and the experience we have is what sets us apart.”
