The latest phase of refurbishment of Congham Hall Hotel is almost complete with some of the refreshed rooms available to book from Easter.
Five of the new-look rooms will be ready to book from Easter and a further three will be available from the end of April.
The hotel is also offering a special Easter package with family activities included.
Eight of the 26 guest rooms are being redecorated in keeping with the rest of the hotel, which was relaunched by the current management in 2013. The final three, including one suite, will be refurbished in January 2017.
A contemporary palette complements the manor house’s classic Georgian style, including feature wallpapers by Jane Churchill, paint by Farrow & Ball and Little Greene, fabrics by Sanderson and Zoffany, luxurious Wilton carpets, and elegant illuminations supplied by Jim Lawrence Lighting.
The highlight is Dandelion, a new honeymoon suite with its own sitting room and private balcony overlooking the parkland. It has been restored as a sumptuous love nest in shades of teal and features a free-standing Kurv bath in the bedroom, Larkhall wallpaper in a soft-coloured damask by Colefax and Walker, and flowing silk curtains.
The Writing Room, which is available for meetings, events, private dinners and wedding celebrations, has also been re-imagined in deep aubergine, with Kernow fabrics in a delicate pattern of scattered ferns from the new Zoffany collection.
Congham Hall is offering a special Easter package, including three nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast, tea with hot cross buns on arrival, a bird of prey display, a visit from the Easter bunny and egg hunt, and an Easter bonnet parade with prizes. Prices are from £350 to £545 per adult, based on two sharing; children stay free in their parents’ room with their meals charged as taken.
