Lynn’s Globe Hotel has experienced problems with a water pressure pump which has forced it to close – but there are hopes it will be up and running again this afternoon.
The problem began last night and this morning, Christmas Eve, one of the busiest days of the year for the pub, the doors were still closed. There was a notice posted on them to say that it had closed due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
Wetherspoon’s area manager for the Globe, Shaun Mattocks, said that there was a problem with the water pressure pump in the building affecting the bar and the hotel,
“The problem occured about teatime on Wednesday evening but we are hoping that we will be up and running again by this afternoon,” he told the Lynn News this morning.
The notice on the door advised customers to check for updates on Facebook or phone the hotel.
