The opening of a new shop on Friday, October 23, in Lynn’s New Conduit Street is the latest in a series of recent developments in the Vancouver Quarter.

Yours Clothing, which specialises in plus size clothes, is moving into the premises formerly occupied by Evans after a two-week shop refit.

The shop is due to be opened at 10am by Poppy Adams, who is one of the women featured in the retailers’ TV ad launched earlier this month. Yours Clothing ran a competition for women to appear in the TV advert and Poppy was one of the winners. The ad featured four models and four competition winners.

To mark the opening, the store is giving out 100 goodie bags with one of them containing a £50 gift voucher for the lucky winner to use in store.

Yours Clothing focuses on plus size clothing, aiming to offer affordable, on trend, quality fashion. “Our store staff have a great understanding of plus size fashion and will give customers the best style advice,” said a spokesman.

Meanwhile further down the same street, Costa Coffee has also undergone work to give it a fresh new look.

The developments have been welcomed by Vancouver Quarter centre manager Abbie Panks, who pointed out that they follow on from other positive business news from the quarter this year. She said: “The arrival of Yours Clothing into the centre is another welcome addition to the scheme following both BB’s Coffee and Muffins and Evolution Beautique.

“This quarter has also seen a number of retailers in the centre carrying out large refurbishments including TK Maxx, Superdrug, the addition of a Joules concession within Ikon and Costa Coffee. This investment is not only a great show of support for the centre but King’s Lynn as a whole.”

Yours Clothing has its head office at Peterborough and has been operating for 20 years. The business sprang from sales on a market stall to a successful retail chain which now boasts more than 70 stores across the UK as well as in the Middle East. It also sends out thousands of parcels worldwide every week from its HQ.
