The Bakkavor Group, the parent company of Wingland Foods at Sutton Bridge and leading international provider of fresh prepared foods, is set to recruit up to 40 new apprentices in 2017.
Its Apprentice Scheme has vacancies which are nationwide and span across a variety of functional roles including engineering, manufacturing, development and HR. Successful applicants will experience real responsibility from day one, contributing to key business activities and projects, whilst at the same time studying towards a relevant, nationally recognised qualification.
Through its Apprenticeship Scheme Bakkavor also focuses on the development of life skills by encouraging apprentices to get involved with local community projects and charity initiatives.

Bakkavor runs two apprentice schemes which are designed to combine employment, work-based training and off-the job-learning. They
are the Advanced Apprenticeship scheme which runs for one year and is aimed at school leaver and the Higher Apprentice Scheme runs for two years and is aimed at those who have typically gained A-Level qualifications. Engineering is a four-year scheme.
Since 2012, nearly 90 young people have started their careers at Bakkavor via the Apprenticeship scheme.
