Local automotive parts and accessories retailer, Wilco Motor Spares, has been crowned Retailer of the Year at the CAT Magazine awards for the third time.

The awards recognise excellence in the UK automotive industry. The prestigious award was collected by Kevin Shortis, chairman of parent company the Shortis Group, and Carl Zajac, operations director of sister company Wilco Motosave.

The Shortis Group has 43 branches of Wilco and WilcoMotosave shops in East Anglia, the East Midlands and Yorkshire. One of its Wilco branches is in Gaywood.

Managing director, Richard Shortis, is delighted that the company’s achievements have paid off again. “Our staff work incredibly hard and this is a great credit to them. My father opened his first shop in Norwich in 1964, and although the industry has changed since then, I believe our commitment to value and excellent customer service will ensure we continue to serve UK motorists long into the future.”

Wilco won the award in 2013 and 2014 and it is a great achievement to win again in 2016.
