RESTAURANT REVIEW: Pearl River, John Kennedy Way, King’s Lynn
Pearl River is somewhere that I’ve wanted to go for some time, but never really got around to it.
Tucked away out of the town centre, it looks fairly unassuming, but it’s actually a very nice place to eat. It’s quite modern inside, with a large fish tank, and plenty of windows to look out of.
The staff were very attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. The menu is buffet-style, so you pay a flat rate and eat what you like, but the food is cooked to order. They have strict rules on wasting food though, so don’t order more than you can eat.
Larger tables have a “lazy susan” on so food is placed in the middle and you can spin it around to get what you want. I’m sure it will provide much amusement for young children too…. The food is very good, and portioned accordingly to who orders what. A large party can confidently order several dishes and have a taste of everything. Personally I found this much better than just picking a single dish from the menu.
The price too is reasonable, with the cost of a meal for 5 including a few drinks coming in at around £18 per head, and nobody went hungry. We got to sample a great many dishes too, all of which
were emptied, and a few even got refilled. Good food for a great price, what’s not to like?
