Country Grounds Maintenance, based in West Dereham, will be running new health and safety courses beginning in January.
The ROLO (Registration of Land based Operatives) training scheme is open to anyone who works in the land-based industry.
This includes labour only, self-employed and employees of companies completing a one-day land-based health and safety course where a card will be issued to an individual, valid for five years.
The ROLO scheme aims to provide identification, keep a record of workers in the land-based industry who have achieved a recognised level of competence, and improve standards of health and safety.
CGM’s Graham Findlay, who will be running the courses, said: “This is a great scheme that increases general awareness of health and safety issues.
“It covers a broad spectrum and not just one particular skill set. People will benefit from the course and I would encourage people to sign up.
“Successful completion of the course will let them apply for a CSCS card, which can enable them to work on main contractor sites.”
Courses begin on Tuesday, January 6, and then every four weeks after that. They run between 8.30am and 4pm. Pre-booking for the course, which costs £100 plus VAT, is essential. Call Graham Findlay on 01366 501199 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
