Hunstanton and District Rotary Club holds bra day which raises £1,300

Decorating a cafe with bras was just one of the ways that Hunstanton and District Rotary Club decided to fundraise for a breast care unit.

Hunstanton’s Ski Cafe and Bar was decorated with bras to raise funds for the West Norfolk Breast Care Unit – based at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Along with a collection held earlier in the year, a total of £1,300 was raised from the event which will go towards buying new equipment for the Breast Care Unit.

A spokesperson for the club said: “A big thank you goes to everyone for their kind donations, especially Peter Byrne and his staff at the Ski Cafe and Bar for their kind hospitality and support.”

From the event, held on October 28, Rotarians collected a total of 400 bras which will now be donated to Africa to help local charities who are involved in women’s welfare.
