Calling for a hate free Norfolk

Have your say

Hate and ‘mate’ crime was highlighted in a workshop for residents at Genesis Housing Association’s homeless hostel in GaywoodRoad, Lynn.

Hate crime is anything motivated by prejudice, be it relating to sex, disability, colour or religion and mate crime is where someone pretends to be a friend in order to bully, use or abuse.

In the workshop residents watched a presentation then took part in discussion groups and role play before signing a pledge for a hate free Norfolk.

Sandra Ferreira, service coordinator, sent thanks to those who made the event possible.
