Calls for Swaffham residents to help keep town tidy

Do you live in Swaffham and want to make a difference? Now could be your chance.

Swaffham Town Council is looking for members of the public help to weed and tidy the town.

Some of the councillors have been doing the work themselves, but require some more help due to other commitments.

The decision was made at the full council meeting last Wednesday that Cllr Caroline Ellerbeck will be leading the group.

Mayor Paul Darby said: “I think it is a brilliant idea. We used to have volunteer teams before.

“We need to get a team back to do a little bit every now and then.”

If you are interested in lending a hand, get in touch with Cllr Ellerbeck by emailing: cllrellerbeck@swaffhamtowncouncil.gov.uk.
