Hundreds of pounds were raised for research into pancreatic cancer during the annual St George’s Day quiz, organised by the Swaffham Lions.

More than 60 people took part in the event at the town’s Assembly Rooms on Saturday, which raised £700 for the cause.

Cancer charities say the pancreatic form of the disease is the fifth most common cause of cancer deaths among men in Britain.
