Cardboard raft race in Fakenham deferred

Due to adverse weather warnings the date for the cardboard raft race to take place in Fakenham last Sunday has been deferred to Sunday, September 19.

The cardboard raft race is a fun family event and so due to safety reasons the date has been moved.

It is free to enter and the organisers are looking for some exciting and colourful boats, so why not give it a go.

The Active Fakenham Riverside Community Day includes cardboard raft races, complete with crews and takes place August, Sunday 22. (49966774)

Throughout the day there will be lots laid on including a hog roast, cakes tea and food, bouncy castle, coffee and cakes and lots more.

With a course on the River Wensum that is about 50m long, the prizes and categories will go to the fastest, the most spectacular sinking and the best fancy dress of raft and crew.

There are limited spaces so entrants need to book.
