Chamber calls for businesses to back Norfolk Day
By Chris Sargisson, Chief Executive, Norfolk Chamber of Commerce
Next Friday, July 27, is – as I am sure you know – Norfolk Day. But I know that there are things you don’t know. Things about Norfolk businesses. That’s why we’re launching our campaign to showcase some of Norfolk’s best companies in a series of 15-second films.
We’re going to change the perception of Norfolk and its commerce – and you’re going to help. This is your moment!
When I talk to people in businesses in West Norfolk, and indeed about business in West Norfolk, one of the phrases I hear most often is this: "Wow! I didn’t know that!"
People don’t know things like Norfolk has incredibly advanced wind turbines. That a Norfolk digital marketing company recently won Google’s most prestigious award. And now that company actually teaches Google – about Google!
Here’s what you need to do.
Think about the wow factor of your business. What is it that makes you different? What is it that people don’t know about you. Then, make a 15-second video. Film yourself, or your team, or somebody else, telling the world what makes you amazing. Be as creative as you like.
Then go to the Norfolk Chamber website. You’ll find some helpful tips on making your video. Next, add your film to twitter #15secbiz
Get your videos uploaded before Friday, July 27. The films will run throughout July, until Norfolk Day.
Norfolk Day will be an important day. It will be a tremendous opportunity to spread the word about the great work being done here, and tell the world about your businesses, products and services.
A visit to Norfolk Day Shop is worthwhile. There are loads of ideas there to help you get the most out of the occasion.
Let’s make sure that the world knows that every day is Norfolk Day.
So get involved now. The campaign can only happen with your help. It’s urgent!
Share the wow. Now!
