Young people are being given the chance to find out how to improve their life skills at an event in South Lynn later this week.

A series of workshops will be held at the session, organised by the youth section of the North West Norfolk constituency Labour party, which will take place at the South Lynn Community Centre this Thursday, February 18, between 5 and 8pm.

Four workshops will be delivered, each at four different times during the evening, to enable visitors to hear all of them.

Staff from Positive People Solutions Ltd, who are based in Dersingham, will offer advice on employability and communication skills and workers’ rights.

Young businessman Jake Guinness will deliver a session on how to set up your own company, while there will also be advice on how to prepare for university.

The fourth session will cover mental health issues within young people.

Organisers say there is no obligation to be a Labour party member to attend the event, which is mainly aimed at the under 25s.

Admission is free to under 25s and £1.50 for those aged over 25. For more information about the event, phone 07789 960815.
