Great Massingham charity auction raises vital funds for NHS

A fundraising auction brought in more than £1,300 in aid of the NHS to divide between the maternity bereavement suite and the Covid-19 ward.

Great Massingham gave free use of their village hall to M&C Auctions in support of their NHS 50/50 sale.

Mike Green, auctioneer at Hunstanton-based M&C Auctions and organiser of the event, said: "It was very good and we are really pleased. One of my customers has always contributed to the maternity bereavement cause and so I wanted to support that.

"The main reason we decided to do the fundraiser was due to the pandemic and people who have been in hospital due to Covid-19.

"We auctioned household furniture and garden items and about 40-50 people popped by."
