Charity fair at Runcton Holme sees ‘massive increase’ in footfall
Visitors to a craft and country fair near Downham on Sunday enjoyed an abundance of activities, helping to raise thousands for charity.
The event, held by the Magpie Centre: West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled Association (WNRDA), included stalls, arena performances and attractions.
WNRDA spokeswoman Caroline Dudley said: “It was a wonderful day and the weather was perfect.”
Mrs Dudley said the day’s net profit was £5,000 and footfall showed a “massive increase” from the charity’s inaugural event in 2017.
The King’s Morris dancers, Fen Falconry and Lowestoft Dog Display Team all put on performances which were enjoyed by people of all ages who visited at Wallington Hall.
Mrs Dudley said the crowds were also treated to a flypast by a Lancaster Bomber, which entertained events in Lynn and Hunstanton, too.
