A message that together we can pledge against domestic abuse is being highlighted by Pandora Project, the Lynn charity that helps women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Thursday November 25 is White Ribbon Day and the charity will be inviting members of the local community to come and sign their White Ribbon pledge.

Men and women can come along to promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.

#AllMenCan is White Ribbon’s leading message this year, developed back in March when the murder of Sarah Everard brought women’s experience of men’s violence to the forefront of everyone’s minds.

It also opened up so many conversations about men taking action and making a stand.

As we move towards the end of the year we want as many men as possible to think carefully and make the White Ribbon Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

The charity will also be inviting students from local schools to submit poetry and art entries encouraging students to think about the theme of healthy masculinity and what it means to them.

The objective is to design a poster or image using either graphics or photography, or to write a poem of any length on the theme of healthy masculinity.

The finished pieces of work will be available to view at the North Lynn Discovery Centre on Thursday, November 25, when the charity will also be asking men to sign the pledge to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

To come and take the pledge, drop in any ime between 10am and 4pm at the North Lynn Discovery Centre, Columbia Way, King’s Lynn, PE30 2LA where there is free parking.
