Child gets hurt by broken glass left on Downham Market play equipment by 'yobs'




A 'disgusted' mother posted on Facebook today after her child got cut by glass left on play equipment at a park.

This morning, Downham residents noticed there was broken glass all over the Howdale park.

One Facebook user said they were 'disgusted' at the state of the equipment and revealed that her child got hurt.

Emma Taylor, 29 from Wimbotsham, took her 4 year old daughter there this morning and noticed there was glass everywhere.

She told the Lynn News: "It's dangerous, someone could get hurt and I'm lucky I noticed it before my daughter started climbing.

"We go there at 8am most mornings for a play. There are so many yobs around here they have no respect for the town.

"Every evening I see groups of teenagers around on bikes. Not only are they breaking Covid restrictions but they have no respect for the town.

"I just don't understand why someone would do that."
