Terrington St Clement Community School has been donated plants by Dobbies in King’s Lynn to improve its green space

A garden centre has made a generous donation to a school to help improve its outdoor area.

The Friends of Terrington St Clement Community School were able to select a trolley full of plants for free at the Lynn-based Dobbies for the school's green space, with youngsters helping them out.

The school had recently been shortlisted by Dobbies for its ‘Community Gardens’, and then attended its informative and fun ‘Grow How’ session on bedding plants.

Staff and pupils at the school are currently working hard to improve all their green space areas, making them summer-ready bursting with colourful plants.

They are also hoping to start a gardening club as lots of children have been so eager to help plant and weed.

Kat, a member of the friends of the school association, said: “The school is really appreciative of this generous donation.

“The children and staff will be so uplifted helping to plant the seeds, taking care of them as they grow, and also seeing them bloom”.
