Christmas at RAF Marham

The Friends of RAF Marham hosted a Christmas lunch for residents from neighbouring parishes for the first time since before the Covid pandemic.

Residents nominated by their parish councils were treated to a three course Christmas lunch in the officers’ mess, children from Cherry Tree Academy Marham entertained with singing and hand chime playing, and there was an interactive rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

This was followed by some rousing Christmas songs and a Christmas Quiz.

Meanwhile, a Santa’s Grotto was set up in the RAF Marham Community Support Hub, where Santa handed out selection boxes donated by the Marham RAFA branch.

A number of RAF Marham children have a parent deployed on operations over the Christmas period and the charity Little Troopers donated Build a Bear sets especially for them.
