Hunstanton Christmas Day swimmers raise cash for Caring Together charity
Hundreds of revellers braved the icy sea this morning to take part in the annual fancy dress Hunstanton Christmas Swim.
The event has been held for more than 60 years, but this was the first time since 2019 because of Covid-19 postponements the previous two years.
This year the swim raised money for the Caring Together charity to help children across Norfolk who look after a family member. Organised by the Hunstanton and District Round Table group, it has raised thousands of pounds for good causes over the years.
The brave swimmers, many of whom were sponsored, registered at the Alive Oasis swimming pool between 10am and 10.30am, with fancy dress judging before taking the plunge at 11.
Those who took part then enjoyed hot soup from the Old Marine Bar before taking warm showers back at the Oasis.
