A Christmas fayre which was held at the weekend raised hundreds of pounds towards the maintenance of a West Norfolk village hall.
Borough mayor Barry Ayres and his wife Christine were among the visitors to the event held at the hall in Tilney All Saints on Saturday.
More than £400 was raised, which will go towards the cost of repainting the hall inside and out and providing new curtains and blinds.
Committee spokesman Jan Clubb said the venue had not been used regularly in recent times and is in need of some maintenance work.
She added that the committee were delighted with the level of backing shown by villagers.
She said: “It exceeded all our hopes in terms of the number of stallholders and visitors that supported it.”
