LEARN MOREBurnham Market's Christmas lights switch-on tomorrow afternoon has been cancelled.
A post on the village facebook page today said that "due to extreme weather forecast for tomorrow" it would not now be taking place.
Lady Glenconner, author and resident of the Holkham Estate, had been due to do the honours, alongside Santa Claus and backed up with music from Mister Pink and the Hunstanton Brass Band.
The lights will still be switched on at 5pm after a countdown and shops, pubs, bars and cafes will still be welcoming visitors.
A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office covering West Norfolk due to high winds with gusts up to 60mph expected.
