Downham Market DAB Norfolk Cleaning and Laundry shop is newly opened

A family cleaning company has expanded by opening a new shop.

DAB Norfolk Cleaning and Laundry is newly opened to the public in Downham and provides dry-cleaning and laundry services.

Owner Sarah Brown and her husband Martyn named DAB after the initials of their daughter and they also own and run DAB Cleaning and Maintenance, a holiday home maintenance company looking after holiday lets along the coast.

They have opened the shop in Cannon Square in Downham and along with their mobile business they have a team of 16 employees.

Martyn said: “We are quite busy round the coast, from Hunstanton to Wells, where we provide change-overs, laundry and maintenance for holiday lets.

“We thought we would open a shop, a bit of a spur of the moment thing really and we provide a laundry service for bedding and also sell eco-friendly cleaning products.

“We have a good team and are pretty busy but thought we’d quite like to open a little shop.

"It is something we have pushed for over the last couple of years and we rent the premises.

“It has been pretty positive so far and we have gently eased ourselves into the shop although it is pretty hands on.”

The shop is open to the public from Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm, Saturdays. 9.30am-2.30pm and closed on Sunday.

Sarah Brown said: “ It is a little bespoke due to us offering not only laundry and dry cleaning services but we also sell Norfolk Eco Cleaning and home fragrance and have a refill station for Delphis cleaning products.”
