Hunstanton is a ‘nice slice’ of Norfolk, according to police as they reveal low crime stats for the area
A West Norfolk seaside town has been described by police as a “nice slice” of the county to live in.
A Hunstanton-based police officer attended the town council’s full meeting last Wednesday, where he reported crime figures for the past month and responded to councillor’s concerns.
He reported in October, a total of six offences took place. Three of those were violence-related, one harassment and one common assault.
The officer reported that there was one offence committed of causing danger to road users - where somebody threw a bottle at a car.
He reported that one case of anti-social behaviour has been resolved and that two people were charged with committing thefts from a shop.
These figures do not include any drink or drug-driving offences.
The officer said: “Norfolk has one of the lowest crime areas across the country. We’re in a nice slice of Norfolk and it is a good place to live.”
