Hunstanton and Sutton Bridge Coastguard called to incident at King's Lynn river
Officers from Sutton Bridge and Hunstanton HM Coastguard Rescue Team were called to an incident in King's Lynn last night (Friday, June 26).
The teams were called out to the River Ouse just after 7.50pm last night to support other emergency services including the police, fire service, ambulance and RNLI Hunstanton.
Sutton Bridge and Hunstanton officers provided safety cover for their colleagues.
After some time, the incident was resolved and all assets were stood down.
Sutton Bridge Coastguard launched a campaign in May to help find new recruits.
The team, which covers from Tabs Head Spalding side of The Haven to King’s Lynn, undertakes a range of activities including searching for missing people, assisting animal rescues or recovering wreckages.
