King’s Lynn Stephenson Smart colleagues soar through skies to raise thousands for Hillington Tapping House charity
Four accountants and their family members have taken a giant leap to raise more than £4,000 for charity.
Kayleigh Wilson, Carla Andrews, Keelan Rix and Neil Gayton from Stephenson Smart’s Lynn and Fakenham offices performed a tandem skydive at Ellough Airfield, near Beccles, to raise funds for the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, a charity supporting and caring for families and patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Kayleigh, tax manager, celebrated her 30th birthday on the day, nearly 10 years of being in remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and said: “I loved every second of it. I even had a go at steering the parachute.”
Cassy Sturman, accounts assistant, cheered on her husband Jordan with her daughter Alba.
Manager Neil said: “I was not nervous at all, even going up in the plane and hanging over the edge waiting for the jump.
“The views, being a sunny day, were spectacular. We were able to see the coastline at Lowestoft, which was really nice.”
Nicola Ellis, chief executive at the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House said: “We are blown away with how much the team has raised.”
