Hunstanton Sailing and Watersports Centre is inviting one and all to come and have a free go at a life on the ocean waves.
RYA Push the Boat Out is a nine-day nationwide event that will see hundreds of sailing clubs and centres across the country opening their gates.
Starting at 2pm, on Wednesday, May 18 at Hunstanton Sailing and Watersports Centre on the North Promenade at Hunstanton there will be a whole host of activities taking place which, subject to the weather, will include dinghy sailing, kayaking and SUP boarding.
Children will need to be accompanied by an adult and anyone from the age of eight can take part.
Anyone wishing to participate must wear clothing and footwear that they are prepared to get wet.
Trainers, shorts and tops are ideal. Buoyancy aids must also be worn and can be supplied by the Club.
Chris Howe, commodore of the centre, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in the RYA Push the Boat Out.
“We are inviting the local community to come down to the Centre, have a go at sailing, kayaking, SUPboarding and windsurfing, see what the Club has to offer and get involved.
“Who knows if you visit you might just get hooked!”
RYA Sport Development Manager Duncan Truswell said “Push the Boat Out provides the perfect opportunity for you to discover your local sailing venue, like-minded people, have a go at the sport and find out how much fun it is.”
