'Come to Sculthorpe to recharge your Tesla Chris'
The answer to Springwatch presenter Chris Packham's e-car recharging woes could be close to home - appropriately enough at a nearby nature reserve.
Mr Packham told the BBC last week that he was loving being in West Norfolk broadcasting live the latest series of the popular nature programme from Wild Ken Hill in Snettisham but had hit on one problem - nowhere to charge his Tesla.
He said he had not been able to find anywhere in Lynn or even Peterborough to plug in his electric vehicle.
The claim brought ridicule on social media with many pointing out that there were listed Tesla charge points dotted around West Norfolk.
And Adrian Blumfield, operations director of the Sculthorpe Nature Reserve, has contacted the Lynn News to say: "I would like to advise the Sculthorpe Nature Reserve has four charging points in West Norfolk and only 15.6 miles from Wild Ken Hill, ie not a big distance, considering one of our staff does this every day.
"Mr Packham is very welcome to use these at any time and we would welcome to show him around our reserve, while he waits for his car to be charged, and all the work we have achieved over this past few years!"
Springwatch is on Tuesday to Friday on BBC2 showing the amazing rewilding efforts taking place at Wild Ken Hill, that stretches between Snettisham and Heacham.
Chris Packham is broadcasting with fellow presenter Michaela Strachan with Iolo Williams in the Highlands of Scotland and Gillian Burke in Northern Ireland.
Springwatch is broadcast from an hour from 8pm and continues until Friday, June 11.
