Community comes together to Celebrate King’s Lynn
Twelve West Norfolk churches came together on Saturday to Celebrate King’s Lynn.
Celebrate King’s Lynn, which was held at The Walks, Lynn, encourages community members to come together to enjoy a day of free entertainment.
Organiser Maarten Klem said: “We were blown away by the day, it was fantastic. There was more people at this year’s event than lasts.
“It is hard to say quite how many came, but there was at least 1,000 coming in and out throughout the day.
“It was an amazing community get together and Christians put events on to bless the community. We were able to bless others with God’s love.”
Guests were invited to take part in a range of activities including facepainting, splat the rat, giant bubbles, among more.
There was also live music throughout the day as well as free cakes and other refreshments.
Mr Klem added: “People were very grateful for the event. It was a success, a fantastic day all around.
“Many who showed up have been healed through prayer and God’s gift to relationships is fantastic.”
On the Celebrate King’s Lynn Facebook page, a spokesman said: “To all of those who turned up to make Celebrate 2018 such an awesome event and to all of our amazing volunteers, we would like to say a big thank you for giving your time to make this event so special in our town.”
