Winners will be announced at a black-tie event on Thursday, April 20 in Cardiff where around 700 of the sector’s biggest brands, leaders and influencers will gather to celebrate the best of the best.

Managing editor Andrew Davies said: “Huge congratulations to Kitchens Etc for being a finalist at the awards.

“I was blown away by the quality and quantity of all the entries this year so it is a massive achievement and very well deserved. The quality in the UK kitchen and bathroom sector is incredibly high, particularly for independent retailers, so to be shortlisted in our awards is a real sign of excellence.”

Kitchens Etc’s showroom was severely flooded back in 2021 not once but twice when the local river burst its bank unexpectedly and again a second time some weeks later after snow thawed and water levels rose again.

This forced a complete showroom strip out, industrial drying and full re-instatement of the premises over many months and the showroom was closed for the majority of the year while works were undertaken.

Natalie Peters, managing director and designer at Kitchens Etc said: “The flood absolutely devastated our showroom and us, being a small family business who are extremely passionate about what we do, our showroom is our second home.

“We decided to turn a huge negative into a positive and used the opportunity to create our new design studio, which has received a phenomenal response from visitors and which we are extremely proud of.

“To be a finalist in such a prestigious award is the icing on the cake for us.”
