Sandringham concert announces singing legend Van Morrison featuring special guests Squeeze and Del Amitri at Royal Estate
Singing legend Van Morrison will be headlining with special guests Squeeze and Del Amitri at the Royal Sandringham Estate.
The large-scale outdoor show this summer is part of the first extensive live music events to be presented by Heritage Live.
Taking place on Friday, August 25, the show will also feature the Old Time Sailors.
Giles Cooper of Heritage Live said: "We’re delighted to be able to bring the peerless Van Morrison to the Royal Sandringham Estate.
"Van’s ability to create timeless music and his amazing live show will create a really unique and historic musical moment in these incredible surroundings."
Van Morrison’s matchless song-writing and vocal talents have seen him produce an incredible body of material throughout the course of his career.
Though also experimenting in different genres, Van Morrison’s commercial success is well documented with Brown Eyed Girl, Gloria, Here Comes The Night, Jackie Wilson Said, Bright Side Of The Road, Have I Told You Lately and the list goes on.
Squeeze first formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook had begun their song-writing partnership.
By 1977 they had made their recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits including Cool for Cats, Up The Junction, Labelled with Love, and more.
Formed in Glasgow in the early 80s, Del Amitri have been a fixture on music charts since the release of their second studio album, Waking Hours, in 1989 which spawned the timeless hits Kiss This Thing Goodbye and Nothing Ever Happens.
Also announced for Heritage Live at the Royal Sandringham Estate is Robbie Williams, who will perform two exclusive shows on 26 and 27 August and The Who performing on bank holiday Monday, August 28.
Customers must pre-register to purchase tickets at and pre-sale for those who have pre-registered will take place on Thursday, March 9 at 9am.
