Coordinator wanted for new arts project in Hunstanton
A performance company which has teamed up with a rural arts charity is aiming to recruit a coordinator for new project based in Hunstanton.
Dante or Die are working with the charity Creative Arts East to deliver the new arts project based in the Hunstanton area.
Dante or Die are experts in ambitious theatre performed in unusual locations. Previous productions have been based at skate-parks, department stores, and even derelict buildings. Their new project entitled Take On Me will be performed at Hunstanton Leisure Centre in November.
The production will visit leisure centres around the country, and Dante or Die are recruiting a local coordinator in each location to involve the community in the project. They are keen to hear from people based in Hunstanton and the wider West Norfolk area who have a good local knowledge, and can confidently chat to community groups to become involved in the project.
The coordinator will recruit a choir, acrobats, and guest cast members from the community to take part in the show.
Natalie Jode, executive director of Creative Arts East said: “It’s really exciting that such a renowned company is coming to work so closely with the West Norfolk community and I’m proud that Creative Arts East has been able to support this residency.
"Hunstanton is one of six locations receiving this work across the country, thanks to funding from Arts Council England and West Norfolk Council. Recruiting for the position of a coordinator shows the company’s commitment to using grass roots knowledge and investing in the people of the area.”
This is a paid role for the equivalent of six weeks’ work over the next year. No previous arts experience is necessary.
