Coronavirus: Hunstanton Theatre closure brings ticket refund plea
The Princess Theatre in Hunstanton has joined other theatres in the area in closing because of the cornoavirus crisis.
A statement on its website today warned that it faced an uncertain future because of the move to shut down until May 31 and urged patrons to not ask for refunds but rather wait for tickets to the rescheduled event.
The statement said: "The shows that were due to perform during this time are in the process of being moved to a later date when we hope you will return and enjoy a night out with us. More information regarding the rescheduling will be provided as it becomes available.
"As you are aware, the Princess Theatre is a small venue that relies upon its volunteers to keep it operational. We, of course, do not want to put it in jeopardy. Please can we ask you for your continued support to take up the offer of the new dates when they become available, rather than request a refund.
"At this moment, we are working through the date sheet chronologically from Thursday, 19th March when The Manfreds were due to perform. They have now been moved to Monday, 31st August 2020. "Once we have the new dates confirmed for the other shows, we will contact you with the details. We will then move on to April’s shows and do the same.
"We respectfully ask for your patience whilst we are rescheduling shows.
"If you are a ticket holder, please be assured that we will contact you as soon as we have information concerning your new date."
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom over the past 8 years and look forward to seeing you when things return to normality.
Please note, as usual, our online booking system is available 24 hours a day.
