Coronavirus: Nine new deaths recorded at King's Lynn hospital




Another nine coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, according to new figures out today.

Data from NHS England showed the latest fatalities occurred between March 4 and last Friday, April 8.

A total of 610 people have now died with the virus at the QEH since the start of the pandemic.

Covid admissions to the QEH remain high with 113 patients admitted during the week ending April 3.

That total represented no change from the previous week.

But overall recorded infection rates are still falling, with 868 cases recorded in West Norfolk during the week to Friday, April 8, down by 33.6 per cent on the previous week.

There were 774 infections in the Breckland district over the same period, 34.2 per cent lower than the previous week.

And there were 555 cases in North Norfolk, 34.1 per cent lower than in the previous week.
