Coronavirus: Two more die at King's Lynn hospital

Two further coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, newly published figures show.

The cases take the total number of people who have died at the hospital after contracting the infection to 126.

But the data from NHS England shows the latest confirmed deaths occurred last Thursday and Friday, May 7 and 8. So far, no fatalities have been recorded since Friday.

QEH chief executive Caroline Shaw said a short time ago: "We can confirm today that two patients – a man in his 60s and a woman in her 80s – have died after testing positive for COVID-19.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with their families.”
