Coronavirus: Two new deaths confirmed at King's Lynn hospital

Two more patients have died at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after contracting the coronavirus, officials have confirmed today.

The cases bring the total number of deaths among patients who have tested positive for the infection at the hospital to 134.

Chief executive Caroline Shaw said a short time ago: “The deaths of two of our patients, who had tested positive for COVID-19, have been confirmed today –a man in his 80s and a man in his 50s.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with their families at this difficult time.”

Data from NHS England suggests one of the deaths occurred on Tuesday, while the other was last Sunday.
