Coronavirus: West Norfolk businesses offer free rooms to NHS workers
With support continuing to be shown to those in need during the coronavirus pandemic, two businesses are offering free rooms to those on the frontline.
The Crown Inn at Gayton and The Wenns Chop and Ale House in Lynn have both announced that they have free places to stay for NHS workers and those who are on the frontline, helping care for patients.
In a post on Facebook, The Crown Inn at Gayton said they were offering their three rooms to anyone who had been drafted in from other areas to support Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
They said: "Free rooms for NHS workers. As we try to do as much as we can for each other during this awful virus, we want to reach out to those on the front line, our amazing NHS.
"We know that people are being drafted in from other areas in order to help our amazing doctors and nurses at the QE Hospital so we would like to offer our three rooms for free.
"If you know of any NHS workers who need temporary accommodation local to the QE because of being drafted in to help, please tell them to email lisa@gaytoncrown.com. Thankyou xx"
Meanwhile, The Wenns in Lynn also posted on Facebook and said their rooms would be available to frontline staff who need to self-isolate.
They said: "We are delighted to be in a position to offer FREE ROOMS to any frontline staff who need to self-isolate.
"Our suites are entirely self contained with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Email us on info@thewennskl.co.uk for more information.
"2020 could be the year we all start being nicer to each other, let’s start now. Together we can all get through this."
