With the Christmas rush getting into full swing, staff at Lynn’s postal sorting office have been praised for their work by West Norfolk Council leader Nick Daubney.

Mr Daubney, pictured above with postman Ian Tuck at the Austin Fields site, said: “There is a huge amount of effort and dedication that goes into delivering a first class Christmas at Royal Mail’s busiest time of year. It was great to meet the team.”

Office manager Graham Wiley urged customers to organise their mail early.

He added: “Our postmen and women are working extremely hard to deliver Christmas cards, letters and parcels to people across King’s Lynn. We are grateful that the leader visited the office to see our operation and to support the team.”

This year’s last posting dates before Christmas are December 19 for second class, December 21 for first class and December 23 for special delivery items.
