Hunstanton Town Council has been awarded £3,500 funding from Norfolk Community Foundation through the Norfolk Household Support Fund to help combat hunger this winter by supporting those who may be forced to choose between getting food on their tables and putting on the heating.

The mayor of Hunstanton Adrian Winnington said: "Hunstanton Town Council is very pleased to have received this funding, it has enabled us to help those in our community who may be in need of a little financial assistance this winter to put food on their table.

"The money has been used to purchase food vouchers from our local essential food businesses and have been distributed to local charities and groups who are aware of those most in need plus £1,500s worth of vouchers presented to the Hunstanton Food Bank."
