“Opportunities are nowhere to be seen” vs. “opportunities are now here to be seen”. What a difference a space makes. Entrepreneurship is often about looking at things differently, but it doesn’t mean that every new business must be right on the frontier of innovation.

Start-ups are fuelled by many different motivations. Some want to take their skills and experience in a different direction – others want to take control of their lifestyle and future. Whatever the motivation, it’s the passion and determination to succeed that often makes the difference to success or failure.

It’s a sad fact, though, that many start-ups don’t make it through the first year. To help reverse this trend, the two day First Steps to Start Up workshops by Nwes are designed to guide you past the common pitfalls and help you develop a professional business plan that can give you confidence in your ideas as well as help to apply for funding.

Nwes will help you with techniques to develop your market research and marketing whilst also explaining the different business structures and how to get started on the right tracks. During the two-day programme, you’ll also learn the basics of bookkeeping, taxation and what else you need to consider to start trading and become your own boss.

The only thing you need to bring to the course is an idea and we’ll help you work out whether it is something you could develop into a viable business. Or if you’re a little further along with your ideas you’ll pick up plenty of valuable tips and information that saves you time and simplifies the process for you.

All this support is available free of charge and booking onto any Nwes event only takes a few clicks within the Nwes website. Alternatively call us on 01553 970970 or drop by and pick up a leaflet from us at the new King’s Lynn Innovation Centre near the southern bypass.
