Armed police arrested three men this afternoon following an assault in Kettlewell Lane, Lynn.

Police were called at around 1pm today (Thursday 17 July) after claims a man had been assaulted and threatened in Kettlewell Lane, with reports that a knife was seen.

Armed units attended the incident and two men, aged 15 and 18 from the London area were arrested on Norfolk Street at 1.45pm.

A 50-year-old man, from West Norfolk, was also detained at a property on Highgate at 2.40pm when the area was cordoned off for public safety.

All men remain in police custody at this time.

The victim received a minor injury for which no medical treatment was required.

Inspector Jason Selvarajah, said: “Public safety is paramount and our specially trained officers led this operation. It is important that we respond swiftly to reports such as this in order to detain those responsible and protect the wider public.”
