A man and woman have been charged in connection with a dog attack in Lynn which resulted in the deaths of two Chihuahuas in December.

Mark Keepe, 40, of St Edmundsbury Road, North Lynn, and Dawn Jackson, 40, of Hillington Square, have both been charged with being in control of four Staffordshire bull terrier type dogs which were dangerously out of control in relation to an incident in The Walks on December 1.

They have been released on bail to appear before West Norfolk Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 4.

Jean Tuck, 83, was walking her pets, Phoebe and Podge, in the park when the incident happened.

Mrs Tuck has since taken on two smooth-haired Chihuahaus, the newly-named Podge is three, while Phoebe is 18 months.

Both dogs have settled into their new home very well since arriving before Christmas. She has been touched by the support from well-wishers and fellow dog walkers since the attack.
